While there is no confirmation yet that this individual was the one who broke into Saif Ali Khan’s home and assaulted him, sources indicated that the suspect was spotted near the Bandra railway station shortly after the incident. Investigations are ongoing as police seek to clarify the details surrounding the attack.
The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has formed seven teams to track down the attacker. Saif’s domestic help, who was the first to raise the alarm, also sustained a minor injury to her hand. She said it was during the scuffle and later filed a police complaint. Preliminary investigations suggest that the intruder did not forcibly break into the apartment. But he may have sneaked in at some point during the night.

At 54 years old, Saif was reported to be out of danger. This confirmation was after he underwent emergency surgery at Lilavati Hospital. He was rushed after the incident took place around 2:30 AM. His son, Ibrahim, quickly transported him to the hospital by auto, arriving around 3 AM. Saif’s wife, Kareena Kapoor, and sister-in-law, Karisma Kapoor, reached the hospital shortly after.
Legal Action
The actor’s representatives characterized the incident as an attempted burglary. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Bandra police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 311 (robbery with intent to cause death or grievous hurt) and 331(4) (house break-in or trespass at night). Kareena and other family members were present in the house during the attack. The Mumbai police have released a picture of the intruder as part of their investigation.
